Hi, Eric. The SCX6 is rated for only 3S, but this is a popular topic. Do people run 4S? Yes, but please keep in mind that doing so will void the warranty. I haven't seen anyone have a problem, but it is a risk. Again, it's only rated for 3S and that is what Axial recommends. I'm not sure about motor...

Hard bodies are awesome. For tips:
- Definitely use a primer coat. I like light gray. Sometimes I'll spray a rust color and then light gray primer. The key is to use light coats and to stay light near details. Too much paint at once will pull and puddle and diminish the details that make hard bodie...

Hard bodies are no where near as durable as hard plastic bodies, but that con is also a huge pro. When hard bodies get used, they get rock rash. When they get damaged, they can be repaired often with realistic results. I agree, you'd think hard plastic bodies would be tougher than polycarbonate but ...
